Your B.S. affects you life
For the most part B.S. is used as an acronym with a foul meaning, but I would like to use it here to stand for Belief System! However, the latter can sometimes be the former, especially in cases where it prompts some of us to be religious extremists killing people because they are assumed threats, belong to a different religious groups, and things similar to that!
I was watching a documentary the other day, about the apartheid or racial segregation and got to understand a bit about the psyche of those who carried it out or perpetrated it! They claim they were told by religious authorities (that is, B.S.) and government officials that apartheid is good and homosexuality is bad! They are saying that the same people are now telling them apartheid was bad but homosexuality is good! Clearly apartheid, or constitutionalized bias, caused lots of harm to lots of people and that cannot be right, and it was based on beliefs one race/group had about the other, that is, a B.S.
Moreover, if you strongly believe you are a loser and cannot amount to anything, then guess what would happen to you! On the other hand if you strongly believe you are great and deserve to be loved, respected and wealthy, then you wouldn’t accept anything but that which you believe and hence likely to attract same! Ever heard of the so called self-fulfilling prophesy?
The more the perceived evidence we have that support our beliefs, the more our beliefs grow to being convictions and faith. In Christianity, the more the miracles, signs and wonders we witness, the stronger our faith grows. Almost everyone of us act in accordance with our B.S. at least most of the time, if not always.
Beliefs influence our thoughts, our thoughts affect our actions and our actions affect our lives. We cannot change our lives until we change our B.S. A poor individual would never be anything but poor until he believes he can be anything else. A physically sick person may not be healed unless he believes he is!
Where you are today is the result of you B.S. Change your B.S change your life. It is your responsibility.
